DISC Questions - High I
My final post in the DISC series - High I. This question may be tricky because those with High I profiles are not always interested in following directions, and prefer situations with a bit more freedom. The example a candidate provides needs to have impactful reasoning behind not following directions (they were incorrect, it had a negative impact on the customer, etc) to be effective, not just because they didn't want to follow instructions or didn't agree. The right response to this question can demonstrate great problem solving skills and initiative.
⠀
This is a good question for a hiring manager to feel out where a candidate may need coaching - if they don't have an example, they may need encouragement to use their own judgment to make adjustments as needed. If they have many examples, be clear and call out any non-negotiables in any instructions you provide them.

Does an example for this question come to mind? Are you a rule follower or rebel?
