Every Process Can Be Improved

It's hard to take a deep look at a process that you own, are used to, or you think is already great as-is. The truth is, each and every process can be improved- even a Six Sigma process may have a tiny tweak that would improve it by .00001%.

Improving a process can also be a lot easier than it sounds- I always find that while simply mapping it out, I find one or two things that can easily be changed or experimented with often without involving others (which is the trickier part).

As part of your spring cleaning, take a closer look at your processes. You could assess your entire hiring process if you're a hiring manager, or evaluate your process for preparing for interviews if you're a job seeker. If you're happy in your current role, check out one of the processes you use most often. If you're able to make improvements (and measure them), it's always a great thing to bring to your manager and add to your next self review!

Need help with improving your process? I'd love to geek out with you and help any way I can!
