Hire Possibilities on Monster Jobs Blog

I was recently quoted in the Monster Jobs Blog post “Why Gen Z is the Perfect Match for Skilled Trades” - it was fun to give Lily my perspective on why these types of roles might be a good match for Gen Z candidates. I have so much respect for folks who choose careers in the trades - these skills are so necessary, valuable and become even more important when there are big shifts in the economy, or when we see effects of climate change (when traditional “desk jobs” may be less available and impactful to our communities).

As a homeowner and landlord, I have enjoyed getting to know and learning from so many skilled folks. While it can include a lot of physical labor and isn’t always the most glamorous, a lot of satisfaction, financial and personal success can be derived from these roles. As a customer, I love building relationships with my trade network and knowing that what I’m paying is often going directly into the pocket of someone I trust and want to see succeed.

If you are interested in getting into a trade, I think it’s a great career move!
