DEI Interview Question Series
This is a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion behavioral interview question that I think everyone, including entry level candidates, can quickly come up with an answer to. Out in the world we always have to shift the way we do things to collaborate with others, and we grow from those experiences.
⠀
I've recently seen companies asking candidates for diversity, equity and inclusion statements as part of the application. It's great to see them taking this into serious consideration throughout their hiring process.
⠀
Do you have a good example for this question?
Important Note: A member of our community on Instagram noted that this is question feels different to those in marginalized groups who are expected to be flexible for others’ needs. To be clear- it’s important that all candidates have an example where they compromised or changed some of their style to work more closely with someone different than them. For this reason, it may be more impactful to ask this question of white cis male candidates.
